Restart the Android Oreo rollout on Samsung Galaxy S8

After the release of Android 8.0 Oreo on Samsung Galaxy S8, the distribution is starting again.

A few weeks ago, we talked about the launch of the update to Android8.0 Oreo on #Samsung Galaxy S8and a few days ago, we also said that the rollout of the new version of the operating system has been blocked [VIDEO] . However, today, it has been restored on both Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 +.

At the time of the interruption, a release was not issued that could explain what happened, but to date, the truth came out: to stop the release was the fact that the phones of the users suddenly restarted. So, as we had supposed at the time, it was a problem related to software stability.

Samsung Galaxy S8: countries where the update has already arrived

To give the communication of the resumption of the distribution of the new operating system is the SamMobile portal explaining that currently it is available the download via OTA (acronym of Over-The-Air).

At the moment it is already available in Germany and the firmware versions are G950FXXU1CRB7 for the Galaxy S8 base and G955XXU1CRB7 for the Galaxy S8 +.

However, before upgrading, it is very important to make sure you have at least 530 MB of free space in your phone’s memory: it is in fact the space needed to download the update.

So the update is quite heavy, without considering that the size could increase, based on the version that Google releases at the time that we are going to download.

Since before the release of the operating system was stopped, the update was already available in other countries [VIDEO] , such as Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Norway, France, Poland and Belgium, these will be the first countries where new firmware. At the moment it is not foreseen the arrival in Italy of Android Oreo for the # Korean Smartphones , even if in the distant future, there is a remote possibility that this could happen.

Therefore, the Korean company has kept its promise to release the correct version of the software in the short term. The latter even has some news compared to Oreo presented previously. Not only are efficiency and performance improved, but thanks to the introduction of Notification Dots, unread notifications are handled differently, in a more practical and clear way.

The mode Picture-in-picture allows users to launch video in fully customizable windows.
